What does this mean?
First of all, we didn’t lose confidence in the project! We have put a lot of work and love into the development of this chaotic piece of colorful pastime and we stand by it 100%! But, truth be told, it didn’t perform as well as we had hoped. Which – in part – has to do with UpBreakers being our debut game and us having had no idea how to market a project like this. Nevertheless, we had many wonderful people support us not only on Kickstarter but also on Twitch and YouTube! Together, we had a lot of fun dashing, running and jumping through the levels – wreaking havoc on each map 🙂
Since the revenue did not meet our expectations we had to face the fact that we could not further develop UpBreakers full-time. Since we knew that, the plan was to put it on hold for now and revisit it when we’d find the time. Since we couldn’t deliver more content during our targeted timeframe to full release, we decided it’d only be fair to put a smaller pricetag on the game.
We had the pleasure to work with great people on this project and to all of you who supported us in some way: Your energy and love is highly appreciated! Your support went into every fiber, every line of code and every frame you see and will continue to do so. We have some unfinished content which we hope to bring to you at some point in the future!
Until then, UpBreakers lives on and we would love to invite all of you to a round or ten of chaotic destruction and fun on the servers! Our Discord is (and will stay) open for you so drop us a line!
